Bio

Steven Kiernan is a fiction writer and activist.  He is a veteran of the Iraq War and  U.S. Marine Corps.  During that time, he was wounded in an IED blast which resulted in the amputation of both legs and spent two years recovering at Walter Reed Army Hospital.  He has a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Oregon.  His work has appeared in Kenyon Review Online, The Wrath-Bearing Tree, and O-Dark-Thirty, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.  He currently lives in Eugene, OR with his wife and two dogs.
